Traffic Procedures
The San Ramon Police Department will be on-site to enforce road rules in an effort to uphold safety within the School Zone.
Common violations observed have included:
- Westbound Crow Canyon Road traffic making right turns from the through travel lane, over vehicles queued and waiting to make right turns adjacent to the curb.
- Vehicles blocking the intersection of Crow Canyon Road and Canyon Crest Drive.
- Vehicles driving on the wrong side of the road.
- Parking along red curbs, in front of fire hydrants, and across driveways.
- Making U-turns near the intersection of Canyon Crest Drive and the school driveway.
Please note that this is a School Zone, which means there are a high number of elementary school-age pedestrians. Please respect your students, as well as the other students that come to Golden View everyday by following the road rules in our School Zone.
Here are a few tips from the San Ramon Police Department on picking-up/dropping-off at Golden View:
- If you are not going to use the driveway for pick-up/drop-off, then access the school from Canyon Crest Drive (WEST). This will alleviate the number of cars waiting to turn right onto Canyon Crest Drive.
- If you are coming to Golden View from the west, access the school from Canyon Crest Drive (WEST). This will alleviate the number of cars waiting to turn left at the traffic light at Canyon Crest Drive (EAST).
- Remember to cross at marked crosswalks and utilize the Crossing Guard.
- Crow Canyon Road is a 25 miles per hour School Zone during the bell times.
- Attached is the Suggested Walking Map for encouraging students and parents to walk/bike to school.
