Gators Give Back

GGB LogoGators Give Back's Mission is to provide opportunities for Golden View students to participate in community service activities while learning about character traits that make them great Gators
 
Program Details:
Gators Give Back gives kids one opportunity a month to give back to their community through hands-on service projects focused on a different community building trait each month. There are 2 ways to participate, at home or in-person.

Gators Give Back first semester community service events will support: The Crayon Initiative, Golden View's Science garden, our sister school and local veterans. Community building traits focused on during the first semester include: Considerate, Resourceful, Giving, Thankful.
 
GGB Fall Impact
NOVEMBER - GIVING
Learn about food and clothing insecurity.
  • Project: Sorting coats that were collected through a school wide drive and assembling gift bags for 500 of our sister school students.
  • Book: Maddi’s Fridge
  • Benefactor: Sister School
 
OCTOBER - RESOURCEFUL
Take care of our planet by reusing, reducing, recycling, or improving an outdoor space.
  • Project: Building Golden View’s Science sensory garden & campus beautification
  • Book: Plant a Seed
  • Benefactor: Golden View!

SEPTEMBER - CONSIDERATE
Help take care of people and places in your community.

  • Project: Sorting crayons that were collected through a school wide drive.
  • Book: Going to the Hospital
  • Benefactor: The Crayon Initiative, Children in Pediatric Hospitals
